IndiGo gets nod to fly to Dhaka
IndiGo, one of the leading passenger airlines of India, has been given the nod to commence flight operation to Bangladesh.

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has approved the flight operation of the Indian private airline from Dhaka to Kolkata after completing all the aviation procedures.

CAAB sources said that the Indian private airlines got approval from civil aviation authority for its operation from Dhaka on April 5 after a long process of aviation procedure between the two countries.

IndiGo has got approval for operating seven flights in Dhaka-Kolkata route in every week and it has to comply with each and every rules and regulation of bilateral air service agreement signed between the Bangladesh and India.

Confirming the approval, Chowdhury Zia-ul Kabir, the director of flight safety and regulations at Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh said that IndiGo got the permission to operate flights to Kolkata from Dhaka.

While contacted, Indigo’s Dhaka office manager Mizanur Rashid Chowdhury said that IndiGo got permission to operate direct flight on Dhaka-Kolkata route. However, the date of operation has not confirmed yet.
“It may take couple of months to complete the whole procedure. The fare and other things will be fixed considering the flow of passengers and market demand”, said Mizan adding that the demand of passengers on this route is increasing gradually
