Cargo ship MV UNIWISDOM arrived at Mongla port directly from Russia on Monday with a consignment for Rooppur nuclear power plant.

This is the 3rd shipment for the power plant arrived after the start of Russia-Ukraine war. The ship arrived at jetty 7 of Mongla port with 1400 tonnes of cargo. MAC Shipping is acting as the shipping agent for the vessel.

As it is a more economical and safe port, the goods of the big mega projects of the country are now being imported through Mongla port. As Padma Bridge reduced the distance with Dhaka, the interest of businessmen to Mongla port is increasing, said a press release.
