United airlines India-bound flight turns back to U.S

A United Airlines flight bound for India returned to Newark Liberty International Airport shortly after takeoff due to a malfunction in the electronic cooling system of its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

The crew of Flight UA82, operating from Newark to Mumbai, declared an emergency after detecting a failure in the aircraft's electronics cooling system.

Following standard safety protocols, the pilots returned to Newark, where the aircraft landed safely approximately two hours after departure. No injuries were reported.

Although the aircraft had reached cruising altitude, the malfunction posed a potential threat. Fortunately, all passengers were unharmed, and the airline worked with airport staff to assist travelers and arrange alternative travel options.

After a safe landing, the plane was taken out of service for inspection.

Passengers received assistance and rebooking options. United Airlines prioritized safety and provided meal vouchers, accommodations, and bookings on the next flights to New Delhi.

Investigations are still ongoing to determine the cause of the malfunction.
